Kyiv, 2025

The delegation — including Jacek Swiader, Olga Lozinska, Agnieszka Lichnerowicz, Antoni Wisniewski-Miszal, Antonina Palarczyk, Jan Mikruta, Antoni Michnik, and Anna Sanczuk — visited the @veteran_hub space, where they learned about the activities of this veteran support network.

They also met with Taras Koval, a defender released from captivity; Kateryna Prokopenko, Head of the Association of Azovstal Defenders' Families; Kateryna Pryimak, Head of the Women Veterans Movement “Veteranka”; and Kasper Sienicki, an activist who cycled 850 kilometers from Warsaw to Kyiv to raise funds for the rehabilitation of prisoners of war.

The visit was organized by the Ukrainian Institute in cooperation with Centrum Mieroszewskiego as part of the Study Visits to Ukraine project, which aims to highlight the crimes of russian occupiers against Ukraine and its culture and to provide international participants with a deeper understanding of the context and current situation in the country.
