The Association of Azovstal Defenders' Families is a strong community united by shared pain and a common struggle. Their loved ones are heroes of the defense of Mariupol, many of whom remain in russian captivity.
Kyiv, 2025

Every week, families organize rallies, appeal to authorities and the international community and remind the world that every day in captivity is a terrible ordeal.
The Association provides psychological support, organizes meetings and works both in Ukraine and abroad, raising awareness of violations of international law by russia.

«Vechirniy Kyiv» spoke with co-founder of the Association of Azovstal Defenders' Families, Olha Adrianova about how this powerful community came to be one that does not allow the horrors of captivity to be forgotten, even as life begins to return to its usual rhythm.
